Penampang (Feb 7) - In celebration of the Chinese New Year 2026 festivities, Nan Bang Lion Dance will be staging a series of lion dance performances at ITCC Penampang, bringing vibrant cultural traditions to shoppers and visitors throughout February and early March.
According to the official 2026 Lion Dance Performance Schedule, the performances will begin on February 7, 2026, and run until March 3, 2026, featuring appearances at various outlets within ITCC. Show times are scheduled either at 11:30am, 2:00pm, or 6:00pm, depending on the date.
The festive series kicks off on Saturday, February 7 at 11:30am, followed by multiple performances across the month, including February 8 (2:00pm), February 11 (6:00pm), February 12 (6:00pm), and February 13 (6:00pm). Additional shows will take place almost daily from February 14 through February 28, with times primarily at 11:30am and selected evening slots at 6:00pm.
The celebrations will continue into March with performances on March 1 (11:30am), March 2 (6:00pm) and March 3 (6:00pm).
Participating outlets include a mix of restaurants, retail stores, cafés, hotels and service providers located within ITCC Penampang, allowing shoppers to experience the traditional lion dance up close while supporting local businesses during the festive season.
The lion dance, performed by Nan Bang Lion Dance, is a key highlight of Chinese New Year celebrations, symbolising prosperity, good fortune and blessings for the year ahead.
