Kota Kinabalu (Jan 12) - A fun and family-friendly running event with an adorable twist is set to take place in the city early next year as Panda City Run Kota Kinabalu 2026 makes its debut at Taman Awam Teluk Likas.
Scheduled for January 25, 2026, the event invites participants of all ages to enjoy a 5-kilometre fun run in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere. The run will take place from 5.30am to 9.00am, offering runners a refreshing morning experience along one of Kota Kinabalu’s popular recreational areas.
Billed as one of the “cutest” fun runs in the city, Panda City Run combines light exercise with entertainment and collectible merchandise, making it suitable for families, casual runners and panda lovers alike. Participants can look forward to a range of exclusive panda-themed items, including a specially designed running shirt, a limited-edition crystal medal and a mini mystery box.
Organisers have also prepared additional merchandise depending on the selected package, such as panda keychains, plush panda toys and energy bars, with Package C offering the most complete set. The event will also feature family-friendly activities and multiple photo spots designed for social media sharing, appealing to both Instagram and TikTok users.
Three registration packages are available. Package A, priced at RM39, includes a running shirt, mini mystery box and crystal medal. Package B, priced at RM46, adds a panda keychain, while Package C, priced at RM65, includes all items plus a plush panda toy and an energy bar.
With its playful concept, affordable pricing and scenic seaside venue, Panda City Run 2026 is expected to attract a strong turnout from local residents and visitors looking for a light-hearted way to stay active while enjoying Kota Kinabalu’s outdoor charm.
