State Tightens Oversight with Mandatory Quarterly Reports for GLCs

KOTA KINABALU - Beginning next year, all CEOs, group general managers and general managers of Sabah’s GLCs and statutory bodies will be required to submit written performance reports to the Chief Minister every three months.

He stressed that the reports will serve as a key tool for evaluating organisational progress, cautioning that leaders who fail to comply, do not meet their KPIs or deliver unsatisfactory outcomes may be reassigned or removed from their positions.

Hajiji also urged all heads of organisations to establish clear, measurable KPIs aligned with their respective mandates, and to maintain strong governance practices, including financial integrity, transparent execution and accountability to the public.

He added that the directive enhances oversight across entities with varied functions but shared responsibilities, and that improved monitoring and accountability will support the successful implementation of the Sabah Maju Jaya 2.0 agenda for the people.
