Kota Kinabalu (Jan 6) - The Tshung Tsin Dance Troupe from Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School is set to return to the stage with a new dance production titled “Where The Heart Desire”, scheduled for January 17, 2026, at the Auditorium of Jabatan Kebudayaan dan Kesenian Negara (JKKN) Sabah.
The one-night performance will run from 7.30pm to 9.00pm, offering audiences an evening of expressive storytelling through movement, performed by a group of young dancers who continue to develop their craft while navigating personal growth.
According to the organisers, Where The Heart Desire centres on the idea of moving towards what truly matters in life. The production raises a reflective question: how does one continue to follow their heart’s desires while still growing, learning and searching for direction? Through dance, the troupe explores themes of perseverance, self-discovery and hope, transforming personal experiences into a shared on-stage journey.
The performance is described as more than a typical school showcase, instead presenting an emotionally sincere and thoughtful narrative shaped by dedication and passion. It aims to resonate with audiences who appreciate performances that reflect real emotions and youthful determination.
Tickets are priced at RM30 for normal seats and RM50 for middle row seats. Reservations can be made by contacting Megan Ng (011-1623 0925) or Ms. Chua (014-563 3478).
Where The Heart Desire promises to be a meaningful way to begin the new year, highlighting the talents of Sabah’s young performers while celebrating creativity, growth and the courage to follow one’s heart.
