KUALA LUMPUR - UMNO has wrapped up seat negotiations with Pakatan Harapan (PH) for the upcoming Sabah State Elections, signaling a key step in their political alliance.

UMNO Secretary-General Datuk Dr. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki confirmed the deal but noted that talks with other coalitions are still ongoing.
"We’ve finalized seat discussions with PH, but negotiations with other partners are still in progress and will be settled soon," he told reporters last night after a UMNO Supreme Council meeting.
Currently, UMNO holds 11 seats in Sabah’s 73-seat State Assembly, while PH has seven. The collaboration gains extra significance after Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Secretary-General Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun announced on August 10 that GRS had agreed to work with PH in the polls.
This comes after PKR Secretary-General Datuk Dr. Fuziah Salleh revealed on July 28 that PH and Barisan Nasional (BN) had already concluded their own seat discussions.
With alliances shaping up, Sabah’s political landscape is heating up—stay tuned for more updates as the election draws closer!
